Karunanidhi informed that he had appealed the Indian Central government to send a special envoy to bring a settlement to SriLankan crisis, which was welcomed by the Sambanthan team. Meanwhile, the Alliance requested, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister should interfere in the affairs of Tamil people, in the welfare of Sri lankan Tamils.
The Alliance informed Karunanidhi that after the end of war with the Tamil Eelam Liberation tigers, only a minimum advancement is being processed in the rehabilitation activities for the Tamils by the Sri Lankan government. On this context, Karunanidhi had requested to send a special envoy to Sri Lanka to observe the welfare of Tamils, for which the Alliance welcomed. Alliance appealed that a proper settlement should be met for the racial crisis in Sri Lanka, and they alleged that the motherland is turned out to be the fortress of military and activities are processed for Sinhalese colonization.
Sambanthan headed the Alliance, and Mawai Senathiraja, Suresh Piremachandran, Selvam Adaikalanathan and Sumenthirai attended the meeting on behalf the Tamil National Alliance.
